Regenarated Painting
Regenerated Painting is Seungjin’s original series of works. In this series, he starts with backgrounds created using AI or other digital tools, which are then printed as digital prints. On top of these prints, he applies hand-painted details through spotting techniques or automatic drawing methods. This process explores the intersection of digital and nondigital techniques, resulting in a unique visual language that conveys a new concept of mixed media art.
Free Art
“Free Art Performance” is a long-standing project by Seungjin. Over many years, he has performed in streets, parks, subway stations, and events worldwide. During the performance, anyone can request a drawing, and Seungjin completes it within seconds or minutes. To date, he has created and given artworks to over 6,000 people globally through this project.
Glitch Painging
The painting series explores the interplay between digital glitch effects and nondigital components, creating a unique fusion of technology-driven and traditional artistic elements.
Rental Friend
As digital tools dominate daily life, forming real communities and friendships becomes harder. Seungjin’s “rental friend” project in New York acts as a social sculpture, connecting diverse people while reflecting the impact of evolving digital technologies.
JPB Mural
In NoHo, New York, at the Japan Premium Beef butcher shop, Seungjin created murals that combine digital and nondigital elements. Using AR technology and automatic glitch-inspired painting techniques applied over digital signals, he produced a hybrid visual experience that merges virtual and physical layers.
